To stay competitive in today's economy, manufacturers must now develop and design their products with a demanding combination of high speed, high quality, and low cost. This trend has prompted more and more companies to outsource part or all of their product-development tasks, rather than attempting to do everything themselves. For us, this has been an opportunity: transcosmos has grown steadily over the years by being the first to respond to client needs for a technology provider that uses the latest computer technology—based on advanced CAD/CAM/CAE/PDM tools—to support the full range of development and design activities.
One in two Japanese manufacturers is now increasing overseas production, and many are considering expansion in Asia, particularly China. Anticipating this trend, we have concentrated our overseas service operations in East Asia, and set up systems for providing on-site support specific to each of our clients' distinct fields and the countries they operate in.
To best meet the diverse needs of our clients, we aim to advance further as a solutions provider. We will continue to strengthen our technology base, look for ways to raise our value-added, and make our services more versatile—through, for example, increasing our use of networking technology. |
