transcosmos strengthens human resource development assistance for persons with disabilities (December. 25, 2009)
transcosmos inc. has inaugurated a project focusing on areas such as human resources development and educational environment maintenance support for persons with disabilities as a part of CSR activities.
■Project Summary
- 1. Human Resource Development
(Inside Company) - :argeting highly public facilities such as regional hospitals, the skills of younger eme improved at the practical level, while also contributing to the local community throlunteer work related to the design of materials such as posters, fliers and information ides.
- 2. Educational Support (Outside Company)
- :We continue to expand on-site classes aimed at students (elementary school students) of hools such as those for the hearing impaired.
Our company employees act as the instructors. When classes are held at the former hool of the employee in charge, motivation and hopes for future work are aroused rough the image of a school predecessor who is a successful graduate in a real world tuation working as the instructor of the class. - 3. Environment Maintenance Support (Outside Company)
- :PC donations for special-needs schools, etc. (support provided for both hardware anftware, from set up to user training)
*PC donations are being arranged with the cooperation (equipment procurement and delivery transportation) of IX Rentec Corporation, a company which conducts rental operations.

Continuing from Last Year, transcosmos Holds Another Business Contest (Apr. 08, 2009)
transcosmos, has sponsored a Business Plan Contest aimed at university students across all of China. On April 8, 2009, the contest final selection was held and 10 award winning teams were decided upon.

Fukuoka Tenjin Center "Child Rearing Support Business" Certification(Feb. 19, 2009)
In Fukuoka Prefecture, the management of business enterprises and establishments have announced concrete actions to assist male and female employees with child rearing, and Fukuoka Prefecture has implemented a registration system called the "Child Rearing Support Declaration Registration System". Registration cards and registration marks are delivered to registered business enterprises and establishments and are widely introduced to the prefecture's residents.
On this occasion, transcosmos' MCM center Fukuoka Tenjin has been registered and certified as a "Child Rearing Support Declaration Business Establishment".
At the MCM center Fukuoka Tenjin, which is aiming for a scale of 700 employees in the future, we recognize that child rearing support will be one of the required employee benefits, and therefore make the following declarations.
- 1. We will strive to promote the awareness and acquisition of a child-care leave system by implementation of administrative staff training.
- 2. One month prior to the return to work, we will have a sensitive consultation regarding matters such as reduced working hours, availability for work on weekends and child care in order to determine a work assignment.
- 3. We will promote awareness of overtime limitations, reduced working hours for child care and a leave system for child nursing, striving to create an environment that provides support after the return to work, through implementation of administrative staff training.

transcosmos hold the "Intelligent Professional's Seminar" (April 2008 -) at Tama University EX Project Seminar.
transcosmos have formed a business-academia collaboration with Tama University and started the "Intelligent Professional's Seminar" in April of 2008.
■Seminar Brief
The Intelligent Professional's Seminar will be held in two sessions for the Spring semester (April - July) and Fall semester (September - December), for a maximum of 30 students. With lectures, practical application and group sessions, the aim is to have the participating students recognize the need for, understand, and acquire the capacity to become intelligent professionals.
transcosmos will provide the lecturer and study materials for this course. In order to make this as practical as possible, the lecturer will be an actual transcosmos employee and the study material will be that which is already in use by transcosmos employees.
China Incubation Project Implementation (Nov. 30, 2007)
As an incubation project with the purpose of creating a new business model for next generation IT from China, we held a business plan contest open to all university students throughout China. The contest was held on Nov. 30, 2007 at the Hua Ting Hotel Towers in Shanghai and 12 finalist teams were selected.

Technological Exchange that ties the Research Departments and Graduates of Kanagawa University and Tokyo Metropolitan University (July 21, 2007)
transcosmos, with the cooperation of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Yamasaki Research Laboratory at Kanagawa University, and the Science and Engineering Research mechanical engineering majors of the Tokyo Graduate School of Tokyo Metropolitan University, held a technological exchange including 3 former Yamasaki Research Laboratory graduates who are now transcosmos employees (Engineering Solution Service Division members) and present students (research associates) of the aforementioned research facilities.

In the field of advanced information technologies, as one aspect of our actives to contribute to society through educational support of human resources that exhibit creativity and leadership, we have developed business-academia collaborative educational programs with Tokyo University.
Based on our company's new service development experience, we present various challenges that are faced in the business world and introduce leading edge information technologies that are utilized in overseas IT companies.
By maintaining an international view on the latest technology trends overseas, supporting the education of people who will be personally developing future Japanese IT technology and by providing a hands-on program that maximizes the merits of this business-academia collaboration, we are contributing to innovation in advanced information technology fields.

Program Development for Training of Automotive and Aviation Design Support Engineers (April 2006) in China
transcosmos, along with China's Qingdao University of Science and Technology and Qingdao Zuki Industrial Design Co., Ltd., has agreed upon an international project for the "Development Program for Training Automotive and Aviation Engineers." The purpose of this project is to contribute to the development of China's automotive and aviation industrial design field by training specialized engineers. Through this project agreement, the 3 parties will jointly train design engineers in the automotive and aviation fields to provide Qiingdao and the rest of China top caliber designers for the transportation industry.
