transcosmos Holds Signing Ceremony to Build “Marketing Chain Management Center Oita”

The Center to Acts as a Multi-Contact Communication Center, Supporting Digital Communication via Chat, LINE and Messenger apps

(Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President and COO: Masataka Okuda; TSE First Section: 9715; hereafter, transcosmos) today held a ceremony marking the signature of contract to build new “Marketing Chain Management Center Oita (hereafter, MCM Center Oita)”, together with Oita prefecture and the city.

The MCM Center Oita is planned to launch its operation from October 2016, supporting digital communication via chat, LINE and messenger apps, in addition to traditional calls. Aiming to utilize artificial intelligence (AI) and chatbot for customer communication, the center will become the “Multi-contact communication center”, which integrates the cutting-edge technologies with highly sophisticated communication capabilities.

transcosmos promotes expanding employment in Oita and endeavors to create environment and systems that provide wide-ranging opportunities, especially for working women. The company continues to contribute to the community revitalization and development with the support of Oita prefecture and the city.

We hear that the company is planning to employ as many as 300 personnel for its “MCM Center Oita” to be built in Oita city. We are excited to see the opening in October, knowing that transcosmos is aiming to create a women-friendly environment through implementing flexible working arrangements for women that seek to achieve healthy work-life balance, while creating pleasant and comfortable break room with paying full attention to the details. We are also excited to see wider employment opportunities for people living in the remote areas once the company is ready to provide work-at-home option going forward. From this year, our prefecture has officially started various initiatives to recreate Oita, such as taking measures against declining population. We highly expect transcosmos to build momentum in generating employment opportunities and unlocking full potential of women at work.”
