transcosmos Forms Alliance with SECOM Trust Systems to Enhance Back-Office Services

Strengthens document storage service along with relaxed electronic storage requirements

March 22, 2017

transcosmos inc.

transcosmos inc. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President and COO: Masataka Okuda; TSE First Section: 9715; hereafter, transcosmos) launches new service, partnering with SECOM Trust Systems Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President: Keiji Hayashi; hereafter, SECOM Trust Systems), with an aim to improve document storage service, one of its back-office services that optimize businesses’ various indirect tasks.

Along with the relaxed electronic storage requirements, following the Electronic Books Maintenance Act of 2015 (*1), it is expected that businesses will further drive their initiative to use electronic documents in their business operations. transcosmos currently provides end-to-end service which optimizes businesses’ indirect tasks, ranging from collecting, receiving and scanning documents to entering and storing the data as one of its back-office services. Now, to enhance its service capabilities to satisfy the requirements of e-Document Law (*2), namely, “visual readability”, “integrity”, “confidentiality” and “searchability”, transcosmos partners with SECOM Trust Systems and capitalizes on “SECOM ANSHIN ECO BUNSHO Service (SECOM Secure Eco Document Service)” (*3). The service provides electronic certificate for accreditation of specified certification business and time stamp service which complies with the international standard, in order to fully meet the requirements of e-Document Law and to ensure legal admissibility of electronic evidence.

Combining transcosmos’s back-office services that pursue an operational excellence with “SECOM ANSHIN ECO BUNSHO Service”, provided by SECOM Trust Systems, the service allows businesses to improve business processing, optimize operations, cut storage cost, as well as to reduce the risk of losing information during a disaster.

“I am excited with this partnership,” Hirotoshi Maeda, Executive Director at SECOM Trust Systems Co., Ltd. said. “I hear that many transcosmos’ customers have been requesting the company to offer “scanned data storage service” as one of its back-office services. Now, as electronic storage requirements on “scanned receipts” has been eased following the enforcement of Electronic Books Maintenance Act of 2015, transcosmos, who seeks to “accelerate the efforts to strengthen document storage service”, and SECOM Trust Systems, a company striving to attract broader customers to “SECOM ANSHIN ECO BUNSHO Service”, a service which has been supporting businesses to digitalize paper-based document using the electronic certificate, have formed a partnership to achieve the common goal. SECOM Trust Systems, with transcosmos, aims to win larger share in the electronic document market.”
