transcosmos upsizes “BPO Center Okinawa” to further expand its engineering business

Relocates to a new, expanded facility to collaborate with Okinawa in promoting the manufacturing industry

transcosmos inc. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President and COO: Masataka Okuda; TSE First Section: 9715; hereafter, transcosmos) will expand and relocate its “BPO Center Okinawa” which specializes in the engineering business, providing support for the manufacturing industry. The center will relocate to a new Corporate Complex Facility Tower No. 4 which will be built within Okinawa IT Shinryo Park in Uruma city, Okinawa prefecture, which is also the park where the current center sits. On August 21, transcosmos held a ground breaking ceremony and it was planned that operation will be launched from July, 2018.

transcosmos’s engineering business has over a 30-year history in providing extensive support including design, development, manufacturing and customer support for clients in the manufacturing industry. Acting as a hub for nearshore bases, BPO Center Okinawa now aims to further expand its business by collaborating with the manufacturing support business driven by Okinawa prefecture. transcosmos plans to increase the number of center employees from the current 140, to 600 by FY2019.
