With the penetration of the smartphone, consumers today spend more time online than ever. Yet, due to the overwhelming volume of online ads, marketers now struggle to catch consumers’ attention. Under such circumstances, marketers have renewed their views on the value of “print media” which is real and highly visible. However, in print media, marketers cannot deliver the messages to their target based on customer attributes and interests like they do with online ads. So, the only way is to deliver a blanket message which will be shunned by consumers who are not interested, and will therefore result in wasted costs. Understanding these challenges, transcosmos developed its unique recommendation DM, “Reco Letter”, which enables marketers to approach customers per segment with printed media.
With Reco Letter, marketers can send their DMs only to potential customers, adjusting the content and delivery time to suit a specific customer segment. Ultimately, Reco Letter helps marketers reduce CPO and improve CVR by eliminating meaningless deliveries.

Connected to Salesforce Marketing Cloud, the service analyzes customer attributes and their actions on emails and websites to identify customer segments that have higher potential for purchases and other CVs based on their attributes and actions. In addition, the automated process realizes a minimum 5-day delivery time from extracting the target segment to delivery, and ensures the elimination of lost opportunities approaching target customers. By putting a QR code on the DM, marketers can invite users to their websites and promote purchases from there.

Reco Letter uses a “crimped postcard (A4 size)”, offering marketers plenty of space to provide information as they wish, whilst making it easier for recipients to hold and read the DM. The DM design is already included in the service package, and so there is no need to plan and create DM from scratch.
