“Make a world where people with disabilities can make their dreams come true through art”. “ParalymArt Cup” supports this strong will of the ParalymArt with the power of sports. The ParalymArt Cup was established as the “ParalymArt Football Art Contest” in 2016. The project was initiated with the aim to provide people with disabilities an opportunity to display their talent and showcase their power to the world. In 2017, the second year of this contest, it expanded the theme to basketball and renamed it the “ParalymArt Cup”. The contest is sponsored by the football and basketball industries including the Japan Pro-Footballers Association and the Japan Basketball Players Association.
The contest is open to everyone who has a “disability certificate” or a copy of “medical certificate for disability”.
