(Headquarter: Seoul, Republic of Korea; President and COO: Kwon Sang-chuel; transcosmos Korea), its subsidiary and a business process outsourcing provider in the Republic of Korea (South Korea), has hired 1,891 new employees in one year, and has ranked 4th in the “Top 10 Companies: Growth in National Pension Service Members (*)” list issued by the National Pension Service. transcosmos Korea earned top 10 rankings for two years in a row after being ranked 7th last year.
(*) South Korea’s national pension service, primarily for office workers and civil servants, is similar to Japan’s employees’ pension insurance. Workers who work at least 8 days, or 60 hours a month, are eligible for the plan and the number of the plan holders is one of the indicators of job creation. There are 12,538 companies with 100 or more employees covered by the pension plan in South Korea.
