Now, Taisei Corporation is actively driving the implementation of “LINE WORKS” to their construction sites to use it as one of their tools for achieving workstyle reform and boosting productivity. Through the offering of “LINE WORKS,” transcosmos assists Taisei Corporation to make seamless, secure, and timely communication at their construction sites.

Boosting operational efficiency and elevating productivity have been major challenges facing the construction industry. At Taisei Corporation, their Workstyle Reform Promotion Office is leading initiatives to improve the working environment at their construction sites in order to address these challenges. At construction sites, there are various members from different companies who work together and collaborate towards the same goal, yet, it has been a challenge to communicate efficiently and securely with all related parties who work at the same construction site.

“LINE WORKS” has solved this communication challenge. By creating a “GROUP” per each construction site, it enabled all involved parties to communicate seamlessly. Also, its feature to share files enabled the members to confirm the site by sharing photos and videos in real time and ultimately reduced operational man-hours. In terms of information security, Taisei Corporation prevents shadow IT, which is to use personal LINE accounts for business purposes, and stores LINE talk history per project site without leaving the history on personal devices in order to prevent confidential information leaks.

The Civil Engineering Division at Taisei Corporation said, “With other communication tools we used before, we had to make calls to various related parties one by one and had to go back to the office just to send an email which was time consuming. Now, with “LINE WORKS,” we can send photos immediately from the site with a smartphone to share site status to all related parties in one message. As a result, operational efficiency has increased remarkably in a secure and safe work environment.” Taisei Corporation has already introduced “LINE WORKS” to around 70 construction sites and plans to further expand its usage going forward.
