In April 2022, Koki Okuda passed away at the age of 85. In the same month, Okuda was awarded the Shogoi (Senior Fifth Rank) and the Order of the Rising Sun Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon by the Government of Japan for his longstanding contribution to the advancement of the Japanese information service industry through business activities.
