Okinawa Rail Protection

transcosmos has been participating in the Coca-Cola Community Support Vending Machine Program, supported by Okinawa Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Ltd. since 2010. The program is a promotion of conservation activity for the protection of Okinawa rail through setting up vending machines with the promotional design. Okinawa rail, a flightless bird in the Yanbaru region of Okinawa, is one of the natural monuments in Japan.
Over the past four years, transcosmos has donated 603,471 yen to “NPO Corporation Okinawa Conservation & Animal Welfare Trust” who engages in activities to protect Okinawa rail.

transcosmos received a letter of appreciation from the organization on July 25, 2015.

“NPO Corporation Okinawa Conservation & Animal Welfare Trust” participates in rescue and treatment for Okinawa rail from traffic accidents. Since Okinawa rail is the most endangered species of birds in Japan, the organization also challenges on support for their bleed.
