The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a joint initiative founded by CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, the World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). It supports and validates companies in setting greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets aligned with the latest climate science, in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement to limit global temperature rise to 1.5℃ above pre-industrial levels.
In April 2025, we received SBTi validation for the following GHG emission reduction targets:
•Scope 1 and 2: Reduce absolute emissions 42% by FY2031 from a FY2022 base year.
•Scope 3: Request suppliers that account for 85% of the Company’s emissions from purchased goods and services and upstream transportation and distribution to set science-based targets by FY2030.
*FY refers to the fiscal year ending in March of the stated year (FY2031: fiscal year ending March 2031).
